Project Type
CUSTOM NEW BUILD

The Build Brief

The Edwards family had an architect and house plans in hand when they approached us to build their custom 4350 sq. ft. home. In collaboration with the architect, our team reconfigured the plans to ensure the project stayed within an allotted budget while upholding core details of the design, constructing the Edwards new home in 2020.

The Process

We approached The Edwards family’s two-story, custom modern farmhouse build ready to put our craft skills to work in building up their dream home. We commenced the project with site visits and careful planning collaboration with the Edwards. We refined the plans to fit the Edwards’ needs and budget. Once our adjusted plans were approved, we graded and prepped the land for this new construction. Rustic wood timbers and fieldstone masonry contrasts clean lines of the architecture to create this modern farmhouse. Reclaimed oak beams sourced from Pennsylvania, extensive exterior stone masonry and exposed rafter tails gives the farmhouse a rustic appeal.

The home was adorned with aluminum clad windows and features large glass exterior bi-fold doors giving the home contemporary lines and ultimate functionality. Final details such as gas lanterns at the entry, half-round copper gutters and a large stone retaining wall gives this Georgia home an undeniable charm. We worked closely with the Edwards throughout the build, attentive to their vision as well as their budget, so they now have a home to build memories in for years to come.
